How to hire a coach

All of our Associate Coaches have been chosen by our CEO, John M McKee. He’s been involved with coaching since the '80’s.  At that time he was a senior executive in a large organization, and connected with a coach who helped him to move up the ranks.  More importantly, the coach also helped his marriage. He knows what “works” and what doesn’t. He advice is this: The most important element of a coach / client relationship is “the fit”. By this, we mean, it’s very important that you look forward to speaking with your coach AND, that you are confident that she, or he, has the right approaches and history for what you want.

John’s advice is::

1. Check out the profiles of our Associate Coaches to see which of them seem to be an individual with whom you’d like to work/
2. Call our Central Office or Email our CEO directly to learn about the different coach(es) style and fee structure. Or: Contact the coach(es’) directly.
3. Ask about their background and the kind of clients they have worked with successfully.
4. Once you have found 1 or a couple of coaches that “feel” right for your needs, ask for a free session to determine that you have a good communication and that the coach has the ‘tools’ ( reading materials, testing, email approaches, etc) that are right for your own style.

It’s very likely that this approach will help you find the right “fit”. But if you are not comfortable; tell the coach and ask to switch to another in our organization.
